The entire date we planned to make choices for the other. A meal, a book, and a piece of clothing... So we went out on the town, to the most fancy of restaurants. Yes, that's right. Applebees. [gift cards are the best] We both looked over the menus, and decided what the other would have. When the waiter came to the table, we ordered for each other. "He will have..." "She will have.." The waiter looked at us like we were really weird byu students on an awkward first date, little did he know we were actually super cool ex-SUU students on an AWESOME millionth date. We were both pretty pleased with our choices and enjoyed them thoroughly (or as much as you can enjoy a meal from applebees around 4 in the afternoon).
Our next stop was the book store. We split apart and decided to meet up in the front in 15 minutes. We could see each other the whole time as the sections we're both interested in are relatively close together in the bookstore. After 15 minutes we quickly slid our choices to the cashier insisting she keep them face down so their identities could not be revealed. After paying, we headed outside to the car and discovered our awesome choices. We laughed and read the backs.
Thanks for the fun date idea, Leslie! I remember being so surprised about a year ago when Jeff didn't know what I liked on a Subway sandwich. This would be a fun way to see how well we know each other's tastes. And am I the only one intrigued by the book Cade got Leslie? That looks hilarious.

Sounds like a fun date. I, too, thought the book for Leslie looked a little strange and strangely a little interesting...
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait until we go on a super fun date and then I'll be sure and write all about it.
Are you not asking for the highs and lows of the guest daters' dates?
Aw, Leslie. You're so cute. I love this idea!
